On Tuesday 19th April, Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation will be hosting a visit from Department of Environment (DoE) staff to discuss our World Heritage Tentative list nomination.
You may recall that last year the Premier of Victoria announced that the Victorian Government, in partnership with Gunditj Mirring submitted a Tentative List nomination to the Commonwealth government.
We are planning to have a lunch at the Tyrendarra IPA and we would like to invite the Winda-Mara Board, Staff and Members to come along for a feed and then join in the discussion about the World Heritage process. I have been advised that the Commonwealth will be seeking confirmation from the local community that they support our Budj Bim World Heritage nomination and understand the implications a possible World Heritage listing.
Where: Tyrendarra IPA, Taylors Road Tyrendarra
When: 12.00 - 2.00 pm on Tuesday 19th April
For catering purposes could you advise Denis (0409 502645) or firstname.lastname@example.org or Tyson email@example.com if you are able to attend and if you have any special dietary requirements.
